Procurement Officer – Supply Chain

Job Description  
  • 1. Work closely with the procurement manager for new artwork. 
  • 2. Design a process map for the procurement-related task and optimize the proposal to the procurement manager. 
  • 3. Data entry in the ERP system and raising purchase orders. 
  • 4. Help procurement manager in month-closing activities & audits. 
  • 5. Follow FSSAI compliances. 
  • 6. Follow up for orders placed by RM/PM and coordinate with warehouse and production team for material arrival schedule. 
  • 7. To make monthly purchase planning and arrange to procure accordingly with the help of the procurement manager. 
  • 8. To follow up with suppliers to ensure material availability in time along with COA.  
  • 9. Certificate accreditation of supplier from time to time. 
  • 10. Coordinate with the procurement manager for any quality complaints of RM/PM. 
  • 11. Keep track of orders and deliveries and close financial transactions.  
  • 12. To support the purchase executive to evaluate and select the best vendor w.r.t. to quality, price  & timely delivery of material. To plan for vendor audit and rating to find out star suppliers to enhance the process reliability. 
  • 13. Prepare monthly vendor evaluation report for RM-PM. 
  • 14. Plan vendor development and management initiatives, and develop alternate sources.
  • 15. Identify and develop vendors including selection /qualification in order to ensure competitiveness and business benefits. 
  • 16. Review and drive processes and procedures to identify opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce cost in the procurement of materials /parts. 
  • 17. Goals for cost reduction in the supplier area. 
  • 18. Keep up with market trends and new products.

Qualification
  • B.E/B.Tech. /M.B.A. /B.Sc. /M.Sc. Food Tech/Operations

Experience
  • 5-7 years of experience in procurement. (Experience in the food industry is preferred)
